The final stage of compulsory secondary education in the UK

General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) – a globally recognized qualification awarded to students completing a 2-year programme. It is an equivalent of the Russian attestat “o ne polnom srednem obrzovanii”. Academically capable students are allowed to complete GCSE programme in 1 year. Exams take place in Moscow, 3 times a year, at Russian-British School Algorithm.

GCSE results are important not only for admittance to prestigious UK and international boarding schools but are also taken into consideration during the university application process. Admission officers will surely favour candidates with high GCSE results ceteris paribus.

Completion of the GCSE program significantly reduces difficulty of completing the A-level program.
